Today was the placement test for Alcalingua, and it was pretty difficult. There were lots of questions about sequence of tenses, which is a pain, and about Spanish proverbs (like 'a stich in time saves nine'). Hopefully I didn't do too bad so that I'll be in classes with my friends. After the test, a few of us wandered around town but it was so uncontrollably hot we gave up. Giovanna came to my house to charge her computer because she left her charger at home, and we ate lunch with my host family.
Since I haven't explained about my family..
I live with Cris (mom), Laura (16), and Victor (23). They live in an apartment building in 'Nueva Alcala'. Cris owns a store right off the main square called Morgana, and she sells little porcelain figurines and candles and incense. Apparently incense is really big here. Of course the idea of me living with a 23 year old boy makes Marcus nuts, but that's to be expected. It's fine though because he's like my older brother. Cris told that since I already have a boyfriend, we can hook Victor and his friends up with my friends. She and Laura have already picked out one of Victor's friends, named Sergio, for Giovanna. This should be interesting....
